Homeowners and Landlords can apply for a voucher for up to £10,000 to make their homes more energy efficient under the Green Homes Grant scheme. A voucher of up to £10,000 to cover up to 100% of the costs is available for homeowners who are in receipt of a qualifying benefit. Everyone else qualifies for a voucher of up to £5,000 that will cover up to 60% of the costs of the installation.
The voucher must be used to install at least 1 primary measure, either insulation (wall, floor &roof) and/or low carbon heating (heat pump, Solar thermal & biomass) and can then be used to help towards the cost of a secondary measure (windows, doors, heating controls & tank thermostats&insulation).
It is straight forward to check you are eligible, obtain a quote from a list of registered installers and then apply for the voucher.
